First, I want to thank you for considering me to be a part of your journey to inner wellness. Whether you are reaching out for yourself or your child, I know that this first step can be difficult and perhaps a bit overwhelming. Know that I am here to support you through that first step with non-judgement and empathy.

To help you or your child along your journey, I believe that a strong, positive and safe therapeutic relationship is essential. As humans, we are wired for connection and it is my greatest hope that we will foster a secure and trusting relationship that will help you to find inner wellness.

PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of Inner Wellness Therapy is to provide a comfortable, welcoming space that allows you to connect with yourself through acceptance and healing. Whether for you or your child, I am here to provide a non-judgemental and compassionate environment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Attending therapy for the first time can be intimidating and scary. That is a natural response to doing something that requires vulnerability.

During the first session, I like to spend time getting to know the client and hope that they too feel comfortable in getting to know me. Part of getting to know one another is through questions. However, you get to decide when you are ready to share your story and what parts. It is through a safe, strong relationship that it will become easier to share your story and I respect and honor that.

Goal setting may be a part of the first few sessions where we collaboratively develop goals to ensure we are both on the same page and working towards why you are attending therapy.
